Car Insurance Eagle (Car Insurance). Would this car be expensive to fix?

Would this car be expensive to fix? It's a 2003 BMW 530 I PREMIUM with 65,817 miles on it how often and how much would it cost to keep it running and to maintain it

Best way is to read the service manual booklet of your car. the same as a caddy Just about everything will be double or Triple Dependant on what level of maintenance you do. Jiffy lube and driveway mechanics, same as any other car. Dealership service double the amount, but triple the quality of work. From experience, if it's a bmw it wont be cheap. whatever the cost to do a toyota camry or similar car, double it for the beemer.

Eagle . '03 Boxster S Evap leak & vibration noise?

'03 Boxster S Evap leak & vibration noise? I have an '03 Boxster S, with about 18,500 miles on it. I have two issues I was hoping you could help me with. Issue #1, the less mysterious of the 2: Check engine light has come on 3 times since I've had the car on the road since roughly early March. Each time it's the same error, for either a "large" or "significant" evap leak. Through testing, we've been able to rule out the gas cap, and the sensors check out OK, so they're functioning properly. Any ideas? I've been told an evap leak isn't more than pollution control measures, so it's not going to harm the car. But, your stomach does drop when the dreaded orange light pops on. Issue #2- vibration sound, related to RPM. The sounds is difficult to describe, it's a raspy metallic noise, sounds like a high pitched, loose tailpipe. Here's what I've been able to determine: -Only happens when the engine is up to temp, not when it's cold. -only occurs in the RPM range of 2800-3200 -the noise is not present below 2800, and goes away after 3200 RPM -happens whether the car is in neutral, or traveling (noise is exactly the same) -it doesn't sound like an internal engine sound, my limited mechanical know-how makes me think the speed/pitch/torque of the engine at those RPMs is making something else rattle. So there you have it... The car isn't leaking anything, nothing burning, no strange smells, behaves just as it should. Just had it's routine maintenence about a month ago, and nothing out of the ordinary popped up then. Thanks for your help, I do appreciate it. car insurance.

Eagle . Putting a Minor's name on Title of a car?

Putting a Minor's name on Title of a car? So my parents want to buy a new car for my brother, but my brother is under 17. I am 21, is it possible for me to buy the car and put my brothers name *hes 17* on the title as well? So there will be two names on the title. I plan to pay for the car all at once, and he already has insurance. Can I do it? Or do I have to wait til hes 18 and then go to the DMV and then pay the fee to add a name. I don't want to go to the DMV and wait and pay just to add a name where I could do it when i'm buying the car. car insurance.

Eagle . How to Align a Crankshaft Position Sensor

A crankshaft position sensor monitors the position of the engine's crankshaft in relation to the engine block and relays this information to the vehicle's powertrain control module, or PCM. After you replace the crankshaft sensor, you need to realign or re-sync it with the PCM. Failing to re-sync the crankshaft sensor with the PCM can result in engine stalling and poor performance. An automotive scan tool is the only device that can properly re-sync the crankshaft sensor with the PCM.
Difficulty:Moderate
Instructions Things You'll Need
Automotive scan tool

Step by Step :
1
Park the vehicle on a flat, level surface and apply the parking brake. Leave the engine idling.
2
Plug an automotive scan tool's data connector into the vehicle's diagnostic data port. The diagnostic data port on most vehicles is located underneath the dashboard, on the driver's side of the vehicle, near the pedal and steering column area.
3
Turn on the scan tool and choose "Special Functions" from its main menu. Select "CKP Alignment Procedure." Wait while the scan tool performs the alignment procedure. The scan tool will automatically raise and lower the vehicle's idle for 1 to 2 minutes.
4
Disconnect the scan tool from the vehicle and operate it as normal.
Tips & Warnings
Automotive scan tools are computer devices that run tests and gather diagnostic information. They area available from auto parts stores and tool retailers.

Eagle . How to Troubleshoot a 2001 Chevy Venture

Excessive or colored smoke coming out of the tailpipes of your 2001 Chevy Venture is a telltale sign that something isn't right. However, different colors of smoke mean different things. Knowing not only about how to interpret your vehicle's smoke signals, but also how to diagnose other components using OBD II scanners and other troubleshooting tricks can lead to saving time and money by accurately assessing your Venture's problems. Alternatively, if you do not take the time to troubleshoot your vehicle correctly, you risk throwing away parts and money at the vehicle for misdiagnosed problems.
Difficulty:Moderately Challenging
Instructions Things You'll Need
OBD II scanner

Step by Step :
1
Turn on your 2001 Chevy Venture and leave the vehicle running while you walk behind to examine the tailpipes. White smoke typically means that water or coolant is entering the piston chamber and is being released as steam. Check the amount of coolant in the overflow reservoir. If it is low, then you may have a head gasket leak. If the leak continues, then you may eventually have coolant leak into your oil system, which leads to catastrophic engine failure. Blue smoke means oil leaking into the cylinder area through one or more of the multiple gaskets, O-rings and seals surrounding the cylinder. You may also hear misfires in the engine, meaning that the spark plugs are fouled. Black smoke indicates that your cylinder's fuel mixture is too rich and that you have a leaky fuel injector or engine sensor.
2
Look to see if your "Check engine" light is on when your engine is running. Remove the panel underneath and to the left of the steering column on your 2001 Chevy Venture to expose the OBD II (on board diagnostics) connector. OBD II is a universal diagnostic code system mandated for use on all vehicles sold in the U.S. since 1995. Plug in the OBD II scanner, available at any auto-parts store, to the connector pin and turn on the scanner. Turn the Chevy Venture to the accessories position and write down the codes that present on the scanner. Look up the codes on websites such as AutoZone.
3
Inspect your drive belts with the engine running. Look for any play in the belts or wobbly tensioner pulleys. Turn off the Venture's engine. Feel the belt surfacing for glazing or smoothness, cracking, tearing or other signs of wearing out. You do not need to check for the tightness of belts on the Chevy Venture due to the automatic tensioner mechanism, which is part of the engine's belt system.

on to learn macram6 or fly-tying, take the time to educate yourself about an automotive system that most people take for granted, even though it may be the only system in your car that can kill you if you don't keep it in good repair. As you've probably guessed — especially if you read chapter titles — I'm talking about your brakes. Brake System Basics One reason that today's vehicles are the safest in history is that they're equipped with hydraulic brake systems designed to operate on very simple principles with a minimum of parts and maintenance. Since 1968, all vehicles are also equipped with dual brake systems to ensure that if one set of brakes fails, the other set will still be able to stop your car; and with a dashboard light to warn you if your front or rear brakes fail. Figure 10-1 shows a basic brake system with a power booster, disc brakes on the front wheels, and drum brakes on the rear wheels. Your vehicle may not have power brakes or may have disc or drum brakes all around, but the principle is the same in any case. The following sections take a look at each of the components of a brake system, starting with the first point of contact between you and your brakes and working down the line to the brakes themselves. 180 Part II: What Makes It Go?.

Eagle . I am looking to but a scooter that goes at least 55 mph and I keep seeing things like 50cc and 125cc does this have anything to do with the speed?

Indirectly, yes. "50cc" and "125cc" refer to the displacement of the engine, expressed in cubic centimetres. In my jurisdiction,...

Eagle . What were the problems with the first car?

*
The brake system. The brake pedal The brake pedal in your car is attached to a shaft that leads to the brake master cylinder. When you step on the brake pedal, small pistons in the master cylinder force brake fluid out of the master cylinder and into the brake lines. I tell you how to buy the proper brake fluid and work with it safely in "Flushing and Changing Brake Fluid" in Chapter 18. If your brakes are working properly, the pedal should stop a couple of inches from the floor. It should push down easily, stop firmly at its lowest point without feeling spongy, and stay put instead of sinking down slowly when you put normal pressure on it. To check the brakes on your vehicle, see Chapter 18. Figure 10-2:

The power brake booster is located near the master cylinder. .Chapter 10: Ifs the Brakes! 1 B 1 The pou/er-brake boaster Today, most vehicles have power brakes. If your car has power brakes, a brake booster is located between the brake pedal and the master cylinder to increase the force applied to the pistons in the master cylinder so that your car can stop with less effort on your part (see Figure 10-2). The two most common types are vacuum-assisted boosters, which use engine vacuum and atmospheric pressure to do the job, and hydraulic-assisted boosters (commonly referred to as "hydro-boost units"), which use hydraulic pressure from the car's power steering to accomplish the same thing. Some vehicles with anti-lock brake systems (ABS) have a hydraulic pump to generate pressure for booster operation. (There's a section on ABS at the end of this chapter.) Power brake booster -Master cylinder The brake master cylinder Look under the hood of your car, up near the firewall on the driver's side. You should see either a metal box or a plastic bottle. Have you found it? This piece is the brake master cylinder (see Figures 10-3 and 10-4). It's filled with brake fluid and is connected to your brake pedal, with brake lines leading from it to the four wheels of your car. When you step on the brake pedal, fluid goes out of the master cylinder into the brake lines. When you release the pedal, the fluid flows back into the master cylinder. In Chapter 18,1 show you how to open and check the master cylinder safely. This task is also part of the monthly under-the-hood check in Chapter 3. 182 Part ll: What Makes l! Go?
